We had a very stressful time leading up to our stay here.  However, the moment we entered La Matha, we forgot the stress, all the gripes with one another and had the most wonderful time.  And the best news of all is that Mr Grumpy is now Mr Happy!

We have really enjoyed staying in this lovely home for the last few days.  It is spacious, comfortable, warm and homely.

A very comfortable base from which to explore this beautiful area.  Stunning scenery. Everywhere so peaceful - marvelous!

What a beautiful house enjoyed by all: young and old - discovering local wildlife and the fantastic pool.

The pool was fantastic - sooooo cool and refreshing after a good game of badminton!  Jessica, 12
The veranda is really good as well - it was nice to eat all our meals outside.  We also loved the garden - nice and big so we could run round and enjoy the badminton.  Annie, 14.  (Annie - I liked your drawings of the "famous four"! Denis)

Back again!  We all had another fab holiday in La Matha.  The wildlife welcomed us back with open arms!  The frogs, the snake, a family of mice and various enormous insects!  Thanks again Pip & Denis, see you again next year at La Matha!

Your house is wonderful and very comfortable.  We had a great time away from the stress of work.  Kids loved the garden and pool.  Can't wait to come back and enjoy many meals and drinks on the terrace!

Votre maison nous a tous charmés.  Tout le mond a profité de la tranquilité des environs et du charme de la région.  Nous pensons déjà à revenir l'année prochaine.  Certains se sont laissés surprendre par les vins de la region et ont appris a les apprécier et a l'attraction de "wine-o'clock"!

We had a lovely time enjoying all that this beatiful spot has to offer.  Walking in the vineyards and woods we hunted for bears (vivid imagination of a 2 year old!).  Both young and old had a fabulous time.

What a great house! We would love to take it back to Australia with us.  Oh well, I guess we'll have to come back for a visit to France to stay here again

We much enjoyed our stay: eating and lazing on the terrace and in the garden.  Our two weeks have flown by!

Wonderful house in beautiful surroundings.  Absolutely love the hammock: I've had a lovely time swinging in the dappled shade under the trees.

The most amazing holiday ever! The kids (& grown ups) have enjoyed the pool - we even had a pool party!  Brilliant day out to Arcachon and the "big dune".  St Emilion was fantastic, the most beautiful town.  We enjoyed the night markets, particularly at Duras.

We have had the most amazing holiday.  La Matha is even better than it looks in the pictures.. We've all had a great time in the pool - a very welcome "cool off" from the fantastic weather.  We have all eaten well and sampled the locan wines - very nice!!  We will be sad to leave and would love to stay again.

Beautiful weather, lovely wine and lots of relaxing by the pool.  Had fresh croissants daily from Pellegrue.  Lovely villa - way bigger than we thought.  Perfect!
